How to print directly to a printer

How can we print directly to a printer

When I try

It shows the Print Windows, can we go directly to the printer like the printer icon on Explorer

I had a good look around the web, but couldn't find anything. From a client position i wouldn't want this, because i might have different printers installed and i want to choose the appropiate printer for the content i am printing (color printer/b&w printer).

I agree! But I'm working on s Touch Screen Project where I know the printer I want to use.(to provide a service)

I had the same problem a year ago, also on a TouchScreen Project. I found that there's NO WAY to pass the print screen since it is a system function. But ... I remember there was one way it did work .. This by using an active-X component that called a certain system method call (using VB-script). But since this was some kind of security issue, this was no longer suported since IE5 and above. Unfortunatly I can't remember where I found this example (somewhere on the www), but it was a VERY nasty work-around !
