Trying to install extension on UD4 and DWMX

I downloaded and tried to install the new pure upload extension and I keep getting the error that a .xml file could not be installed. I tried to install on UD4 and UDMX on the same machine with still no luck. I use both UD4 and UDMX and need to install on both.

Install the extension in one application first, then in the other application.
Finish one installation completely, and restart that application, before going on to another application.
