Win2k and FTP errors

Windows 2000 FTP errors (user permissions error?)

Q: When I try to FTP within dreamweaver MX on windows 2000 I get errors connecting.

A: I had this problem for ages, if I logged into win2k as my normal user I couldn't connect to anything, i just kept getting the message - "an FTP error occured - cannot make connection to host", I knew this was a permissions error because when I logged on as the administrator local account I was able to FTP, this I thought was strange because my normal user account had administrative priviledges, the answer was simply to put the port after the hostname in the site settings, so before logged in as my normal user: (site settings) "hostname - intra" didn't work but "hostname - intra:21" does.
