If you want a beginner-friendly library that makes it easy to build large web apps, then Connect isn’t your solution. Connect is meant to be a thin layer on top of the raw Node API that gives you complete control over your server application. If you want a bit more, Andrew Burgess recommends Express (by the same folks, incidentally). Otherwise, Connect is a fantastic, extensible library for Node web applications.
