Adobe Updates Photoshop and Illustrator CS6
Adobe brings retina display support to Photoshop and Illustrator CS6
Adobe has made good on its promise to deliver Retina Display support to two of its most-used graphics programs, Photoshop and Illustrator CS6. That means owners of Apple’s Retina MacBook Pro (both the 13- and 15-inch versions) will now be able to edit and create graphics using the programs in native resolution, instead of seeing the admittedly ugly non-optimized visual resources both previously provided.
Retina support for Photoshop at least was originally demoed on stage during Apple’s unveiling of the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro back in June. At the time, the feature was said to be in development and would make its way to the public later on. Eventually, a general fall date was pinned down, but that slipped past, too. Better late than never, though, and at least users didn’t have to wait until 2013.
