Carels.VirtualClient Studio
Carels.VirtualClient Studio allows designers and developers to build rich, thin client and web-enabled user interfaces that work cross platform and cross browser using CCIML (an XML based markup language defined by Carels).
There are a number of advantages to our unique approach : prototyping of web-enabled applications finally becomes possible, there is only a short learning curve, low bandwidth usage, multi-platform and multi-browser deployment, ...
Carels.VirtualClient Studio is a user interface design tool to build rich, thin client, XML-based and Web-enabled user interfaces that can be used cross platform and cross browser.
Interaction with business logic is done via XML over HTTP. Technologies such as ASP and JSP can be used. An example based on ASP is included in the manual.
The user interface is described in CCIML, an XML meta language defined by Carels Corporation. Macromedia Flash 5 is used for rendering the user interfaces (covering more than 93 percent of the Internet audience). Additional rendering technologies (for example ActiveX and DHTML) are being considered.
The user interfaces can be used full-page but can also be embedded in (already existing) Web pages (for example for use in portals).
Some online examples and an evaluation version are available on the website : http://www.carels.com.
Deployment of user interfaces built with Carels.VirtualClient Studio is royalty free !
