Skype 1.2 for Windows Phone
Skype 1.2 brings bug fixes and minor improvements
It might not be the most exciting Microsoft-related news this week, but Skype for Windows Phone has been updated to version 1.2. Overall, it's a fairly minor update: the two marquee features are the ability to edit a number in the dial pad before you're connected and now every contact with at least one phone number will show in your contacts list. Of course, updates mean bug fixes, and Skype 1.2 is no different.
The update means that your Skype calls will no longer terminate when you receive a regular phone call or a calendar notification, and instant messages will now show a "pending" tag when they can't be sent due to network conditions. Nothing world changing, but the fixes should be welcome to frequenters of the Skype app — so long as you have enough patience to wait for the all-new integrated Skype that takes advantage of Windows Phone 8's VoIP APIs.
