Google hasn’t even revealed specific details on what its next version of Android, tastily named Ice Cream Sandwich, will do differently from previous versions. A new rumor has now surfaced that suggests the next version of Android after Ice Cream Sandwich may be called Jelly Bean.

Ice Cream Sandwich will combine the operating systems on Android smartphones and tablets into one big super OS. There were also some supposed leaks from a build of Ice Cream Sandwich that have not been confirmed yet.

A couple sources for This Is My Next claims have differing views on what Jelly Bean will contain. One source said the bulk of the changes that were planned to be released in Ice Cream Sandwich are going to be implemented into Jelly Bean instead. If correct, Ice Cream Sandwich could turn out to be very underwhelming. However, another source says the opposite. They’re saying Ice Cream Sandwich will continue to be a major update. Unfortunately, nothing about Jelly Bean (if that name becomes final) is known at this time.

Ice Cream Sandwich on the other hand will be available by November.
