Google Docs Expanding to Add File Storage
Files converted into Google Docs formats don’t count against the storage limits.
Over the next few weeks, Google Docs will expand to allow users to upload any type of file - music, photos, graphics, zip files, and more - into their accounts. The file size maxes out at 250 MB and there’s a minimum 1 GB of storage space included with the account.
The ability to store files online has been around for some time - even by way of e-mailing important documents to ourselves. But this is more than just file storage. It’s also a collaboration tool. Through Google Docs, others that you allow access to the file can go in and make changes without anyone having to worry about which version is the most recent.
