Disable DMXzone Updater message
Definitely do not want to install the DMXzone Updater?
Question:
How can I prevent the popup message "You haven't installed yet the new DMXzone Updater Extension" from appearing?
Answer:
The DMXzone Updater is the easiest way to keep up to date with extension updates. If DMXzone extensions have been installed, but the DMXzone Updater wasn't, the following message will display when starting Dreamweaver:
You haven't installed yet the new DMXzone Updater Extension!
We highly recommend it so you can always keep your extensions up to date!Would like to see more info?
If for some reason you do not want to install the DMXzone Updater, the only way to disable the popup-message is by manually deleting 2 files from the Installation folders.
Delete the file dmxUpdChk_onOpen.htm from the Configuration/commands folder.
Delete the file dmxUpdChk_onStartUp.htm from the Configuration/startup folder.
The location of the Configuration folder depends on Dreamweaver version and Operating System. Please have a look at the overview below.

- Vista/Windows 7: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\<language>\Configuration\

useless extension - and it never goes away
although this article describes how to un-install this annoying crap, it always comes back again! I have done this now for the third time and today - there it is again! It seems that it re-installs without asking after each update you do with any DMX zone extension.
I consider this a severe manipulation of Adobe's dreamwever. Developers should delete this nonsense. It is enough to get notified via email.
I certainly won't buy any new extension from DMXzone until this client - teasing nonsense has gone forever.
constantly comes back after any update of a DMXzone extension
It always comes back after an update of any DMXzone extension is installed. This article does not solve this spamlike automatism. We are not alone who want this thing removed once and for all!
Too much pushy sales marketing
Too bad. The updater is a good tool but it keeps trying to sell me extensions. This has forced me to remove it. I'll just update when I get an email letting me know there's an update. If I need an extension, I'll find it. I don't need any nagware letting me know when new extensions are available. If you ever remove this very annoying feature, let us know please.
