Microsoft Wants less Mobile Phones with Windows Mobile

Microsoft wants to limit the Windows Mobile platform to make it more competitive with other mobile platforms.  In 2008, there were 40 smart phones, which have Windows Mobile OS.

Last year, Microsoft saw Apple with the App store as the first large company that succeeded with software that enables users to set their phone. It seems that Microsoft is referring to include the development of third part applications.

Windows Mobile has some obstacles in order to be succesful, there are many Windows Mobile smartphones, allowing developers to take a lot of devices. With a reduction in the number of aircraft would be one of those obstacles. Some Windows Mobile users could not wait to have their own App store developed.
