Google Tests its new Up and Down Search Interface
Google has experimented with search features that let users vote on
search results, and/or recommend other results than those given, since late 2007.
Users can add any search result to the total vote count by hitting an Up Arrow and turning it green. It allows its users to alter their votes after submitting, the thing that was missing from the previously above mentioned feature.
Anyone who has noticed this new feature in their Google Search engine is welcome to share his/her experience. The feature seems to be quite old-fashioned and boring. It could make site more messy as anyone can vote for any site on their personal discriminations. This would probably results in the elimination of a refinery search system making it more vulnerable to spam.
