Dropdown-dependent Thumbnails

Dropdown values are generated from SQL database. What I need is: when a value is selected - display a thumbnail of the color swatch dependent on that value. I think this should be done with AJAX or JavaScript, but anything goes as long as it works.

Forgot to mention: image links cannot be entered into the database, they have to be somehow generated using same names for jpegs as the selected value. I'm not experienced with ASP that much, and dont want to mess up my otherwise perfectly working ProductCart.
