Step back a few paces

You need to consider a few things before you embark.

  1. The website will still be in html just all the content will be in Flash
  2. You can do things with out scripting, it just means that it won't be as interactive
  3. Think about how you got starting in web design, buy a book, I've got a few of the Flash in 24hrs  type books and they are great at starting the learning curve
  4. Ask your client why they feel they need a flash site, what are there expectations from flash over established website techniques.  There are positive and negative points were flash is concerned and although there are improvements there are still some important factors to consider: accesibility and load time off the top of my head, also the ease of updating.

I am sure a good long chat with them to find out what they want  would get you a bit further, unless this is a portfolio piece?
