PHP Form - Ability to post data to a MySQL database and email Confirmation to registrant

Looking for a way to post data to a database when registrants enter info into the form. Also looking for a way the same form will send two emails, one to myself and one to registrant confirming registration. Have looked around on the web and there is much stuff out on this topic when you look for asp, but not concise stuff for people that want to know how to do it in using PHP. I use Dreamweaver MX 2004. I'm using the PhAkt extension. Database is MySQL. I want to be able to pick out a few of the form variables and use them in an email that will be sent to two addresses to confirm registration. Just a simple email stating (potential variables in ALL CAPS): --Thank you JOHN SMITH for registering. Your VISA card has been billed, numbers ending in 4444. I think that you get the idea. It would be great to have this done by one of the DMX Zone authors.
