does any body know of a way to make the content of layers only load when I click my button to make it show. I have a lot of layers and they are all hidden when the page loads, but with the content of the layers loading also, it is making my page too weighty!!!

I did think of having an IFRAME inside the DIV layer tags, and the src being a blank page, then when you click to show the layer it changes the src of the IFRAME to the content that I want also. The only problem I'm having with this is that I cant work out the scripting I would need to hide the layer containing the IFRAME, by using a button from the page in the IFRAME.

So in a nutshell I would need to hide the layer from a call on a different page, or find a way of making the content of the DIV tags to load when I show the layer.

Any of the above solutions would be fine if I could get them to work, or if somebody has a better idea.

There is a behavior on the exchange when I remember it correctly, it allows you to load the contents of a layer. You should try that one.
