ok...a good link would be www.udnewbies.com - great resource, i swear by it, grins.
the thoery bit would basically be, you have a members page/s that are only accesseble via the member logging on via a form or dedicated page...
the members pages are secured so that only those with a cookie set on thier computer can login, if not they get redirected outta there.
theres lotsa of other things you can do, but leave it to your imagination...after you have some base knowledge.

right...thanks for the reply paleface...was beginning to think no liked me...lol
I understand what your saying...
the problem i'm now having is that i can't the info ('not' personal information, the content they will be adding to their members page) for the member to go to their space in the database.
what i want is like saving email address in hotmail...(i don't love hotmail it's just best example i can think of...)
