It's very necessary that Ultradev 5 have inbuilt php4 support & not a 3rd party add-on
& for those us using Linux as our virtual servers there must be support so as just upload sites to the server & connect to mysqldatabase in linux without creating a DSN as in Mysql for windows.

Actually as of PHAkT v1.0 you don't need to create a DSN at all to integrate UD with MySQL. To be honest, whilst native PHP support will be a bonus, I doubt that it will be majorly different.

In fact I would envisage that MM do not go down the ADODB wrapper library route, and you would therefore be left with having to code for individual databases.

As for Apache Virtual Servers running under Linux, I have a number of those, running on my personal network and also on multiple domains. I've never had a single problem using them with the PHAkT extension at all.
