I am a newbie and this is my first post. I am planning to use ultradev to connect to MySQL which is on my hosted server along with PHP. The problem is that my host cedant.com does not deploy ASP JSP or CFML. I was wondering if this means that I have to change my host or is there another route. As a final query. Are there any plans to use Python on Ultradev as I heard it was a very powerful language and very easy to learn.

No problem. The fact that your host doesn't support ASP,JSP or CFML should have no bearing at all when using the PHP Server Model. You should be fine staying with your current host.

Python, is indeed a very powerful language, though to be honest, I think you are the first person to ask about it. I don't know whether there is enough demand for Python as a server model for UltraDev (though I could be wrong), but frankly, the work involved in putting a server model together from scratch is enormous (as anyone from Interakt will tell you !)
