I'm trying to view asp pages locally. I have everything set up correctly but for some reason, when I'm trying to view the page, it asks me if i want to dowload this file, or save it to a disk...any suggestions??

You need to be running alocal webserver such as Personal Web Server. This can be found on a Windows OS CD.
You say that everything is setup correctly so I dont know if you have already done this.

If you have installed PWS then you are probably trying to access the pages without going through PWS.
Generally when you run through PWS you have to set up a directory where the pages are held

From your browser type this:

computername/directoryofpages

computername can be found in controlpanels and network option.

You may need to enter a name of the page after the /directoryname in the event that the page is not named as default.asp (the standard setting in PWS of a default page name - can be changed!)

If you need anymore help, just get back to me!

Thanks for your reply but yeah I already set up Personal Web Server (Microsoft Front Page PWS that runs out of port 8080...eg1ev:8080/myfolder). I know it's a piece of junk but it's the only one I can get working (Windows PWS won't work). For some reason I can preview other .asp pages but not the ones that actually connect to the DB...so my frustration continues!
