I am in the process of learning DW/UD (I have verson 1.0). In learning frames functionally (I am using DW HOT by Lynda W) by reviewing this text. It works well as long as you include the file name with the HTML extention. I would like to use ASP at some time. However, when I program the frames in ASP and view in the browser, NetScape delivers four screens or says it cannot find the interal frames on the frame set. Can you use a frameset in ASP, if so how do you get it to come up in a browser as a complete set? If not, can you call an ASP page to the one of the frames in a frameset?Kent

I stoped using frames long before I learned ASP. Simply, there are lots of reasons for page-without-frames site.
My advice: don't use frames if you can finish job without them. Try with templates or SSI.

Thanks for the help and advice. However I am new to this and I have a question. Is SSI also Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Also I did get an answer from the Macromedia people... If using or trying to develop frames.. you must use the htm or html extention. after that... you can call any page (jsp, cfl, asp, etc) into the target portion of the frame...
