hello,
the current results of the poll:
www.udzone.com/showDetail.asp?TypeId=11&NewsId=1093 (at the time of this writing)

seems to indicate that UD users arent really interested in the dotNet hype.

I was just wondering what your thoughts are on this... what reasons do you have... etc.

my reasons for wanting to use it, is mainly the OOP features...
and the fact that now ASP.net has access to the entire windows API

Joel,

I think the main reason for the current statistics is that the average UD user does not know what to expect from .NET. They have heard from it but that is it. Probably they decide to wait using .NET untill UD can handle it so they don't need to learn it anymore.

Maybe we should write an article/post some links to tell our members what they can expect from .NET?

Or post a new poll "What do you know about .NET that makes your decission to use it or not?".

Once more: I would also answer not to use it now, simply because I don't know what exactly it is. It's new, so it will take lots of time to be able to handle it. I don't now (and have been too lazy to check it out) what the benefits will be so for now I say "I'll wait". And I think that that counts for lots of the UD users.

Do you think that UDzone should try to inform the members more?
