<font face='Verdana'><font size=2>Hi guys. I'm writing a forum program in ASP and UD4 which will act similar to these forums, and vBulletin type forums. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to figure out how to get the post counts up. I'm trying to get it to do several things - and it just ain't having it!

First off, when you post a topic, the add page needs to pull a value from a line in a table (the counter) and then add 1 to it and then pull a value from another line in another table (the users individual post count) and add 1 to it but I can't figure out the math involved.

Also, When replying it needs to add 1 to the forum postcount, add 1 to the thread replies post count and add one to the users post count.

I'm hoping this is doable easily, and I'd also prefer it to do it as hidden values in the form, but I'm not sure if that would work etc. Any ideas?</font id='Verdana'></font id=size2>
