Dreamweaver unexpected error whilst connecting to DB solution!!

After deleting all the DW preferences, re-installing Apache webserver and Dreamweaver, the answer was the .htaccess file I was using to mod_rewrite with. This was not allowing DW to find the _mmServerScripts folder to connect to the DB.
Simple when you know the answer.

I use Dreamweaver for my project and find it very useful.
