Hi Chris,
I guess you are doing this on a website so the path has to be on the server, when the site is working it will have no access to your local computer, so first you will need to get all the images up onto the server, then you will be able to access them, the path will probably look something like . . .
/images/feb_2008/vacation
There are two ways of doing the paths - as above, which is absolute, the first / means it's from the top level of your site, that IMHO is a good way to do it, because it always works even if you move the file. The other way is relative, which means you start from where the current file is then go up, then down the directories, you end up with paths that looks like this . . .
../../images/feb_2008/vacation
in some cases you just have to use relative paths because of server restrictions
Hope that helps

Hi Chris,
good choice of machine there <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> I'm working on a macbook but not the pro
You will have to set up the ftp details in the site definition, there are two ways, the basic and advanced tabs. Try both to see which you like best.
You will need to put in your server details including username and password, then set up the path to where you want the files to go. That really depends on who is your hosting provider. There is usually a folder on the server called public_html and that's where you put all the files that make up your site. There is almost always an alias www that points to public_html, so in the first instance leave the host directory blank and use the test button to see if you can connect. If you can, have a look at the directories on the host and then if you see www, put /www/ into the host directory box and try that.
Hope that is on the right track
