New to php/mysql. This is very common problem, but I have tried all the methods, available at net.
Problem,
I am trying to create connection in Deamweaver mx 2004 to mysql. but it is giving me folllowing error.

HTTP Error Code 500 Internal Server Error

when I click on Select Database button.

What I have done so far.

installed mysql on my local machine, mysql server working good, I can connect through MySql Administrator. I can create tables, users, database etc.

installed php 5.2 on my local machine, created a test page, working goood, php is running on iis.

I am providing following information
server= "localhost"
un = "root"
pw = "sscarabia"

have tried with mutliple users. have checked access in mysql database. all looking good. but still getting error.

Please urgent help needed.
