hi people,

i am about to design a website but could really use some advice.

the site is to be a searchable database of info about products - it will use and a-z scrolling format - i.e. you can scroll down the list or click on a letter to jump to it. i also want a search box.

i have designed a few websites but they have all used layers within layers (nested layers i think?) and have mainly been design priority - i want this one to be functional in a professional way so i figure nested layers isn't the way forward?

does anyone have advice on which way i should build it?
