Has anyone experienced Dreamweaver causing their computer to overheat? It appears to be happening to me.

After approx. 15 minutes working with Dreamweaver, computer fan goes into over-drive and stays that way for several minutes. This keeps happening approx. every 10 minutes thereafter while using Dreamweaver.

I have a modern computer (HP pavilion a820n, Pentium 4, 3.20 GHz with HT ) with 200 gb hd. and 2 gb of ram. Problem does not occur using any other software.

Anyone heard of such a problem? Any suggestions how to fix it?

HI Robert

sounds strange, but my macbook does something similar, that a core duo processor, I notice that certain applications that use a lot of cpu cycles set the fan going like crazy, the one that really winds it up is watching stuff on youtube, if I leave dw running with no open windows the box is pretty hot. It never gets to the point where it shuts down but it does give me cause for concern.

I generally try not to leave dw running - my guess is that there's some code in dw that keeps running and that uses lots of cpu time

I'll keep my eye on this thread and hope someone else has ideas too
