localhost not working help help help

i am able to ping localhost but not able to use it throug localhost

this thing happened suddenly and i'm not able to sort it out
i'm using svg antivirus with zone alarm firewall

I would recommend to uninstall svg with zone alarm. Get yourself AVG free edition instead.
If this still doesn't work then disable your windows firewall try it, if it works then you'll need to allow a connection on port 80.
