www.sedkc.comI want to set up a style sheet for the pages.
I need the code that you use to set up one page. I'm assuming I put it on each page with the appropriate changes made of font etc. Is this right. Just at this 1 year.

hi Sylvia
I had a quick look at your page, the images seemed to load slowly so i looked in more detail, it looks like you have used very large images and then scaled them in DW, that makes the page load slowly because the big image has to be sent - if you make a smaller one it will load much faster <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
css - dw has a load of built-in css that you can start with, it is not easy to get started with css because it is so different to working in tables, one way you can get the css is to extract it from other people's web pages by viewing the source, most people put the css in a separate file so you need to get that. The way I would do it is get the developer's toolbar for firefox, install that into your copy of firefox, then you can inspect the css on pages you like and see how people have done things. You can also copy their css files and then experiment by changing them and see how that affects the page.
Ideally your css should be in a separate file, the idea is that the pages have content and then all the information about how it is to be displayed is in the css - when that is a separate file the browser only needs to load it once so the site is much faster.
Hope that helps - post more details there are lots of helpful people on here <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
