Hi everyone,

I'm new to these forums and very excited about my first dreamweaver project!

That said, I've been having some difficulty with my two colmun layout. All of my graphics and text line up when viewed in dreamweaver, but when I preview in firefox and safari, the text and my form elements are out of alignment. Ive tried quite afew things to fix the issue. Nothing seems to work. I've tried zeroing out all margins and padding, but form elements and text still show above or closer together then where they are located in dreamweaver. If anyone knows a fix for this it would be much appricated.

Thanks in advance!

I'm using dreamweaver cs3

Hi
there seem to be lots of problems like this, I don't think the rendering of pages in DW is very accurate. You mention Safari so you may be working on a mac, if you are try cssedit, it's shareware and the best $30 I spent. It really suits my way of working. CSSEDIT renders page really well and lets you override stylesheets, makes sorting out this sort of issue much easier. I don''t have anything to do with its production and will not get paid for saying this <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
Another way to tackle it (pc or mac) is to get the developers toolbar for FF then you can edit the css in real time and watch what happens, while you're at it get firebug as well.

A lot of the open source or shareware tools are IMHO more practical to use that the high-priced market leaders.
