Hi, I just started using DreamweaverMX, gettin along fine, but i am having a problem i cant get my images to show when i link from one page to another, Here is what I did.I designed the index.htm page with all the element i need then i deleted the elements that i dont want for the second page, then saved that page under a new name: "infomation.htm" however once i preview in ( ie ) linking from the index page to the information page, images that are shared by both pages refuse to show on the information page...

please help

Hi what do you mean when you say "deleted the elements that i dont want for the second page"?

when you saved the revised page did you save it at the same directory level? ie did you put it in a sub-directory.

Doing what you did DW has probably left all the links to the images pointing to their original locations using relative paths - that means they probably don't work. To duplicate a page you could try doing it with the page closed, selecting its name then copy and paste, so you end up with a copy of the file, then change its name, now go in and edit it. That way it usually works.

The other thing is to check how your paths to the images are set, DW can reference them relative or absolute, relative is relative to where the fie is, absolute is from the site root - using that you can move a file about within your site and the images will still work.
