I have had Studio Mx for a few years, no problems, but recently I wiped my computer to factory and re-ionstalled everything. Shortly thereafter I increased my 1 gig of ram to 3 gigs. Everything ran MUCH faster, except Fireworks. Adding effects has become extreamely slow! I edit on average about 4mb 8.1megapixel images. I have XP, 3.4 ghz processor, editing from a fast secondary SATA harddrive, and my cpu has a total of ~300gb of memory. The solution I can see is that Fireworks ist using the RAM correctly?Any help would be GREAT!
I've also got a strange problem in Flash, if I have a square that is the same color as the background, but one side is 100% transparent and the other is 0%, to make a scrolling fade effect, the transparent square become a darker shade than the background, and this is a BIG problem because transparencies now turn into visible shapes covering up text/images/objects.
I;ve tried un-installing & re-installing Studio MX, but no help at all.
Once again, I am guessing, Guessing, its the RAM.
ANY help at all is helpful!
