I was able to connect to MySql from DW before, not sure when the last time I did though. I have been connecting on a regular basis with Navcat and use the same settings in DW but can't connect.

In the MySql connection dialog if I hit test it fails.

If I try and display a page that works on the production server on my local machine I get:

Fatal error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /Users/Rich/Sites/Site/aspe/htdocs/Connections/Main.php on line 9

I'm on a Mac and fairly new to the Mac since January. Anybody have any ideas, as I'm going to have to create some new apps and don't want to hand code everthing.
