So, this is a simple question, but I can't seem to find an answer. Is it possible to have an image link on one layer open in another layer? My site is mattdelagedesign.com (it's under construction, no laughing!) and on the Portfolio Page, I want my thumbnails to open the main image in the main body space. Can this be done?

site's coming on nicely - I think the thing you want is called a disjoint rollover in DW - it changes an image in a different area of the page. I don't use layers so you might get a better answer from someone else.
