I am using dreamweaver 8 and would like to know if there is a way to allow a text box to dynamic size itself depending on how much text there is to display.

I have a site that people can type comments into a text box and whatever people have typed gets display in text boxes below, a basic repeat region from a sql table. To distinguish the different blogs I have used a text box to display what people have written - I have set this to 4 lines however if someone types 10 lines, I would like to box to extend show all 10 lines.

Why Are you using text boxes to edisplay entries? why not just use a div or a paragraph? Where you can enter as large text as you want and it will adjust as required, also you can style it to suit your needs?

The reason is it looks better! and its a bit easier to read too.... but only if someone enters less than 4 lines of text! I have displayed the text without using text boxes but it looks a bit naff so was wandering whether a text box could resize itself depending what the people has typed....

any please help me

after taking your advice I've ended up with a cool solution

Used your dynamic text box where people type in their 'blog' and then displayed the text they typed just in a table. I pre formatted the text displayed and then set the wrap in the dynamic text box to hard and 65 characters... job done looks great!
