Working with Dreamweaver 8, the screen starts flickering like crazy, and the only solution is to close it down.I am not sure when it started, but I think it was when working with the Timelines. Since then it has been crashing more and more often.
I unisntalled and re-installed it again a few times but the problem re-appears shortly.
Any ideas? <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

If you're still having this issue, I may have an answer, may not. I had the same flickering and some subsequent crashing.
I use dreamweaver8. My dreamweaver 8 came when I upgraded Creative Suite 1 to 2(adobe bought macromedia during this time and loosely packaged CS2 with studio8, but still as seperate items. My coworker's copy was a full version CS2 combined with a full version of studio8 in one box. Still sortof seperate but there seems to be differences. His package has always run smoothly. Mine has had constant problems. The only difference I could find is that my old macromedia and old CS software was still installed when I upgraded.
So this is how I got it running smoothly. First off, version8 out of the box is full of some bad coding. You desperately need to have at least the 8.01 update installed to fix some rather serious autolink b.s./ Secondly, I think I am now using 8.02. And I believe after installing version8, you can just download the 8.02 update and that will take care of everything.
***but.... make sure you've deleted everything from old programs before re-installing. That seemed to be what finally fixed it for me. If you have an upgrade license, you just need to key from the old disc. If you have a new full version of D8, just make sure you DL the 8.02 update before you bother firing it up. CS3 is now out, so you may need to run a search for dreamweaver 8.02 update to find it now... Good Luck.
