Links to folders inside your web

I want to link to a folder on my web that contains multiple Word and .pdf documents for the user to access. When I create the link it pulls it up in a directory page and allows access to the other directory folders. Is there a way to limit the folder access to just that one folder and adjust how the folder shows the files inside? I'd like it to look more like a windows explorere window.

Are you linking to the forlder, rather to the specific documents? Also, I am wondering how come the directory or folder you are pointing to is browsable. What I would do to limit the access is to create a list (of names) of the documents I have and link them directly to the documents, not to the folder. Unless of course you intentionally have given permission for users to browse you directory.
I would check the permission for that directory and change only to read, and write if you need it.
Hope it helps.
