I'm a total newbie and have had DW and Fireworks for a little over a month, but some flash objects on pages of mine were getting those annoying boxes around them, and the other day I read that the 8.02 patch fixes that problem, so I downloaded it, and on the first page I applied the fix to, it seemed to work fine and eliminate the "box." Now for some reason I am getting false Dreamweaver previews on other pages I create in Fireworks or DW, whethere or not they contain swf files. One such page yesterday looked fine in the DW document window, and the swf played fine, but when I previewed in browser, the whole swf was gone from view! Conversely, another page showed me a beautiful document window, and a perfect preview in both primary and secondary browsers, but after I uploaded the page to the internet, it was displaying an empty placeholder instead of the swf.... and I retried five times to make sure my document paths were correct and everything else I could think of. Since I installed this patch to eliminate the active content boxes, I've been getting mysterious problems that are confusing the hell out of me, on a software that it has taken a month just to BARELY understand... something has changed, and the only thing I can point at is the 8.02 updater. What can I DO??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
