HiI'm having trouble with my site definitions in Dreamweaver 8.
I have been given the task of updating and amending a new site, the site has a dreamweaver created drop down nav bar in it.
I can open any of the exisiting pages with no problems. If I amend them or try to create a new file from one of the exisitng templates the nav bar drop down no longer work.
I think I have figured out why...
the original template contains the following type of file link
<a href="../index.html" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('home','','../images/nav_homer.jpg',1)">
the new versions created on my computer now have the following links
<a href="file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/laptop/My%20Documents/DESIGN%20WORK/nolimits%20web%20files/index.html" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('home','','file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/laptop/My%20Documents/DESIGN%20WORK/nolimits%20web%20files/images/nav_homer.jpg',1)">
as you can see, it's adding in the full local address... how do I stop this from happening?
If you need any more info such as how I've got the site set up just let me know and I'll give you what I can.
I know this should be simple but it's causing me grief.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can spare me a moment to sort this out.
Curtis

there is an option to set the path relative to the site root or current file, look under local info on the site definition and there is a radio button to select it

thanks
After a lot of buggering about I've found the problem. I think the drop down menu is from Fireworks, the js file needed to be in the same folder as the templates.. I think this is something that has been caused by the changes from mx2004 to v8.
Cheers
