Hi all, newbie so please be gentle, I have my site www.kingsapparel.net (flash site) and I will be starting a comp soon, for this I need a POP-up/new sized window to open on the site opening, it will tell the user what the comp is about and what to do, the user needs to be able add there name and postal address, and submit this to my email, where I can the post out their stickers....

how do I do this? please help.....!!! i dont know where to start

you mean like combining flash and php to send an email?

well, i don't know flash, but i know that you can have the new window open when the user visits your homepage by using the onload option on the body tag, but that would open a new window EVERY time they visited your homepage, so you'll probably want to log who has already filled out the info, etc, etc. A lot of hassle on your part and as a user i'd get annoyed seeing a pop-up or new window open up and would just close it. Even then, if i ever changed my mind and wanted fill out the form, it would be hard to get back to it.

I seriously suggest that you just dedicate a page on your site, an "About Us" page where they'd be able to submit their info.

I can see that you already have a contact us page on your site. Why not keep it clean and use it to send email out. All you have to do is connect a php page in you flash action script.
