Hey all,

I am new to Dreamweaver and I don't understand how I can make a form and when someone clicks submit, all the data is sent to an email.
To be more precise, this is what I want to do:
My form will have name, address, email and msg fields. I need to link all those fields to the submit button and when they click it, i need it to send to a email that I specify. I know how to create the little boxes to put the info in but i don't know how to make the submit button send all the data to the email. PLS HELP <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

sending data to email, the way you explain, is not secure and it's messy. The best thing for you to do would be to find out what server type your site is hosted and based on that a better option would come up.

By what server type, are you saying if it is linux or windows based? Because I know it is windows based server and not linux.
The Information I will ad is basically name, email address and a msg and is not sensitive information so security isn't my main concern. Please let me know what other info you need...I really appreciate it!!

You can always go to this link www.thesitewizard.com/wizards/feedbackform.shtml and check out the free feedback form they provide. I use it on my site and it works great. It returns the name, e-mail & comments to my inbox.

Certainly you can go with what Olwyn said. I think that the more options you have, the better.

Check this out:

Yes, the server type is IIS Windows (asp/access/sql) or linux (php/mySql).

Also, if you want something fairly easy to use, there is a small application called "Forms to go", that helps you do what you want. The trial version can help you send emails for html, ASP and PHP. It works great. make a search on Google.

Hope it works
