Hi all,

I am fairly new to dreamweaver and this is probably a beginners question (DMX 2004)..

Every time I am trying to insert an object from application objects menu (such as "dynamic table" a popup window appears with setup instructions reading: "Before inserting this object, please do the following: 1. create a site 2. choose document type 3. testing server 4. Recordset"

The thing is I have already executed these instructions but the window continues to pop up preventing me from adding any objects and going further...

I am using PHP, saved the page, created site, choose doc type, testing server, end created recordset etc... Anyone, any help would be greatly appreciated!

its hard to say without actually seeing how you set up the different stuff. The most common problem is that ppl have incorrectly set up the testing server or database connection thru DW. I would double check those

All, I found the cause of the issue at my end:
I changed the beginning of URL prefix and HTTP addresses being used in the sites settings (manage sites) to "" instead of "www"

My experience in dreamweaver it is very tricky that the application doesn't give you an error message with help info at field level... it makes it very difficult for new users to find the cause when just a slight adjustment in the settings is nessecary.. tip for dreamweaver perhaps...
