I'm new to Dreamweaver so sorry for the newbie quesitons, but I'm just stumbling on some usability things that I need help with. Anyway, when using Adobe GoLive I could copy mixed content from a page in design mode (text and images with relative links) and paste them into another document. GoLive would then rewrite the relative links as needed for the images and links. When I do this in Dreamweaver my images and links don't update, instead they still point to the old location. This is causing broken links each time I paste. Any way to make these links update instead of relinking each item or making them absolute? I've tried adjusting whether the links were relative to the document or site root but it seems to have no bearing on this problem.

having links preferences absolute (relative to site root) instead of relative works for me, you will find that when your links are absolute they do not show on your local machine but they are fine when running off the server.
