HELP! I have set up at least 10 web sites in Dreamweaver MX, and this is the second time I've gone in and found that all my sites have disappeared! Under the FILES panel on the right, it says "No site defined". Is there a way to get them back without setting each one up again? Please help as soon as possible. Thank you!

I believe there is an issue with DWMX and XP that causes things like usernames and passwords not to be retained in the site setup, maybe this is an extension of that problem...

Are you able to upgrade to DW8

DW8 | ASP | ACCESS

I wish it was this simple. From reading other messages on the Dreamweaver forum, it appears that the same problem happens with version 8. Thanks for trying to help - I appreciate your time.

Hello,

I just got this same problem ... I found this forum/topic thanks to google!
I see this is quite an old thread but anyway, I had around 20 sites and they are all wiped out. I closed Dreamweaver, then 10 seconds after I reopened it because I forgot to do a small thing and NO SITES ANYMORE!!! All are gone!!
Does anybody found a solution here to backup them?
I found the list of my sites at this location ... Application Data/Macromedia/Dreamweaver MX/Configuration/Sitecache/
But whatever I do, it doesn't come back.
What can I do? For some of the sites there, I've lost the FTP codes ....
And upgrading to the new versions won't help first to backup them and secondly I hate them.

Hi Barbi, Was this problem ever resolved. I have just experienced the same problem and am unable to find a solution. Adobe are unwilling to help as only CS3 is currently supported (I am using MX). If you did find a solution, can I please bother you and enquire how your existing sites were retrieved??
