I am working in Fireworks. I have 20 layers. What is the easiest way to get each layer into it's own frame? I have read several tutorials and still can't figure this out <img src=../images/fwzone/forum/icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> Replies

I think Fireworks has a 'layer stack' for every Frame - Photoshop / Imageready has one image like a single frame with a 'convert layers to frames' option so it might be possible to open your file in Photoshop then switch to Imageready and use the convert layers to frames - worth a try anyway.

Thank you Frank.
What I did was create each layer as a seperate file( jpegs in this instance), and put them all in a folder together named "animation".
Then I created a new file in fireworks, and opened them as a group (by highlighting them all at once) and clicking on "open as animation". When I opened them into the new fireworks file they all went into their own frame! It was so cool!
Worked like a charm - just like instructed in "help" although I had to put them back in order manually. 23 frames in a matter of seconds! It took me awhile to locate the insturctions but they were there!
Thank you for your recommendations! Sincerely, shelley

that sounds fantastic, I don't use FW often, most of my work is just resizing images and a bit of colour correction but I will remember it for future
btw I answer to most things - so don't worry about the Frank!
