Help with asp/mysql/dmw2004

Hi, Wonderful geeks of the forum please could you assit me with my technical issue:
Im working on college project using MySql and ASP VB Script. When I create a .asp page via DMX2004
and click on database tab and click on plus. The options I have are Customer connection string and Data
Source Name (DNS).
But when using a php page(which I do not attend to use) Under the database tab I click on + there is mysql connection.
Why is this not available on ASP Vbscript? How do I connect mysql to asp vbscript.
I think I have to download ODBC 3.5 and install it admintrative tools - dns - drivers (folder) then click on databases and change the driver to MySql ODBC 3.5 is that correct? advice would be appreciated!
