When I create a new html page in Dreamweaver MX 2004. I get a white space above my first table that contains my header. Any page created with a template does not have this white space.

I can't see anything in the code to delete.

what is going on here?

sounds like you have a top margin set.
go to MODIFY>PAGE PROPERTIES and set all the page margons to zero
