Hi there, I am having an issue with the text in my submenu getting cut off ONLY on certain computers.
I work on a MAC, landscape and MAC 15inch laptop -- there are no issues with the submenu. But on some computers with smaller screens (and they are PC) the submenus get cut off. Is there a way to prevent this.
The site is www.van-go-org
Thanks!!

should your url be van-go.org?
If so I did have a look, I don't think it can be your monitor because I'm using a 19" at 1280 pixels wide and still got menus that were cut off, here's a part of a screen shot:
<img src="www.alanchard.com/van-go.jpg" border=0>
that was using Firefox, it was no better in Opera, nor in IE7 - all PC versions.
Looks like a menu issue to me.

Know how to fix it? Must be a MAC vs PC thing? Looks fine on my computer and when I test it in Fireworks.

Looks like it, I just had a look on the Mac, Safari, Firefox and IE5.2 all render it perfectly.
Check your stats and you'll probably find that 80% of your traffic is coming from IE on the pc, it sounds a bit excessive but I usually test on all the browsers I have. I just started using IE7 on PC and found that it makes a dog's breakfast of one of my sites that IE6 rendered perfectly.
I'm not a MS fan, I remember the DR DOS 'error message' debacle, and the IE fiasco so try to avoid their products, but we can't put our heads in the sand, lots of people use them and don't know any better, we have to make sure things look ok to them. I'm convinced it's all part of the MS strategy, to make thier offerings just slightly non-compliant enough that we web designers have to take special care to work around them.
Best advice I have seen (for which I take no credit) is to develop with standards in mind, test with the most compliant browsers then fix it to work with IE.
I really like those menus, but I'm a little put off by your experiences, I did multi-level menus that appear to work well across all the browsers here www.lakesuk.com that is getting a little old now, it needed a messy little bit of code to make it work correctly. There are some CSS only menus that seem to work well, I'm evaluating them now for a couple of sites. I've found that I usually have to tweak them a little to get just what I want.
