I think it all depends on what you mean by "advanced". If you mean that you understand the F1-basics and want to learn how to build a search function or e-thing, you could get one of these :
- the complete Reference (Ray West/Tom Muck)
everything you want to know but still I think it's too much. It's more a reference work.
- Ultradev basic (Friends of Ed) :
call it F2 and F3. I think it's great and the lay-out gives it a nice feeling and makes it easy to read. Best I got
- Teach yourself UD in 21 days :
deals with mySQL but a little too much
